@HEETH, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query.

Well, well, well, looks like your printer has decided to throw a little tantrum with 'Error 01'—classic move! 😅 But don’t worry, we’re about to show it who’s boss. 😎 Let’s dive in and fix this together!

Turn off the Printer: Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open all compartments (such as the paper tray, toner compartment, or back panel) and check for any paper stuck inside.
  • Gently remove any paper jams if found.
  • Be sure to check areas like the paper feed rollers and the fuser area for any small bits of paper.

Check the Paper Tray:

  • Ensure the paper tray is loaded properly and that the paper is not jammed or misaligned.
  • If the paper is wrinkled, or there’s any resistance when you try to pull paper, it might be causing the error.

Clean the Rollers:

  • Dust or paper debris on the rollers can cause feeding issues. Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth and make sure they move freely.

Reset the Printer:

  • After clearing any jams and cleaning, plug the printer back in, turn it on, and see if the error persists.

Power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove the USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
