The LED configuration screen is not readable due to lack of maybe one color displaying on it. I can see the pictures mostly, but the words and the buttons are not readable, so I have to try and guess what they say. I can do most configuring on the computer, but for copies etc... it is impossible to read. Is this an expensive fix? The printer is functional for now.

Hey there! @Carolyn101, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
Don't worry I'll to help you out.
Let's continue with the troubleshooting steps now.
Try few steps recommended below and check if it helps.
Turn on the printer.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.
Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.
Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.
If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
If you disconnected the USB cable, reconnect it to the rear of the printer.
Try to print.
Also, try updating the printer firmware and check if it helps.

If the issue still persists after trying out the steps. Try changing the printer control panel settings.
On the printer control panel go to the preferences menu and select screen brightness and increase the brightness you like.
You if you have issues after trying out the steps, It is a hardware issue with the printer. And I'm not sure about the pricing to get the printer fixed.

Thanks Mr Robot, but the printer control panel is not readable. That is the problem that I am dealing with. So you are saying that it is a hardward problem. How do I find out how much and where I can get this fixed?
