I recently bought a mesh wifi router that doesn't let me separate 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz bands, it combinesthem together and chooses the best one.  My printer only works on 2.4 and i can't force the router to only use 2.4 for it.  Are there any workarounds or do i need to buy a new printer?  If so, are there wireless printers that support a Mesh router connection?

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Unfortunately the printer cannot connect to 5 GHz and the only work around for users with 5 GHz Router is to create a separate Network name with 2.4 GHz

This is by design
