Hello
We have an HP printer model LaserJet Pro MFP M225DN
Our problem is that every time we print a paper, next to that page, the printer prints another page with the following written inside it:
POST /ipp/printer HTTP/1.1
Content-Length: 179
Content - Type: application/ipp
HOST: localhost
Please guide us how to solve this problem
thank you.

Hi @jafara ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M225dn is generating an extra page with IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) data. This can be caused by a misconfiguration or a communication issue between the printer and your computer.
Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Update Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check for updates on the HP Support website and follow their instructions to install the latest firmware.
Check Printer Settings:
- Access the printer’s settings through its control panel or via the embedded web server (EWS).
- Open a web browser and enter the printer’s IP address to access the EWS.
- Look for any settings related to IPP or printing preferences that might be causing this issue.
Disable Unnecessary Protocols:
- In the EWS, navigate to the “Network” or “Protocols” settings and check if IPP is enabled. If it is, try disabling it and see if it resolves the problem.
Printer Driver Reinstallation:
- Uninstall the current printer driver from your computer.
- Download and install the latest driver from the HP website for the LaserJet Pro MFP M225dn.
- Reinstall the driver and check if the issue persists.
Reset Printer to Factory Defaults:
- As a last resort, you can reset your printer to its factory settings. This will restore the printer to its original configuration and might resolve any misconfiguration issues.
Check Printer Logs:
- If possible, check the printer logs through the EWS to identify any errors or misconfigurations that might be causing the issue.
