Print copy a A4 page  The scan works accross the glass. The globe light is on. It prints out a solid black copy A4

 

Black ink is spilt   out under cartridge carrier right hand side of printer? 

 

The printer prints OK from the computer .  Printer prints out colour photos OK.

Hi, you can try these steps:

 

1. Do a printer power shutdown.

2. Power up the printer.

3. Do not open the scanner lid. During the power up, the printer scanner is performing calibration.

4. Once the printer is in ready mode, you can start the copy or scan job.

You may also try to scan the document to computer to verify if the scanner function properly.

Hi there ,

 

Suggest to follow the steps below.

 

1.  Do a power reset to your printer.  Please do not open the scanner lid during power up for the scanner to do an initialization sequence

 

2.  Try to print a black & white document

 

3.  If you managed to print a black & white document,  you should either try to scan the document to memory card or to scan to computer

 

3. Check the scanned image on your memory card or from your PC.  

 

4. If you still see a black strip from your scanned image,  the printer's scanner is most likely to be faulty.  You should call HP support for help

Hi. The printer scan loades up the memory card and scans a full A4 solid black page to the computer
