I've tried twice though customer support. (Chat and WhatsAPP)

The last time I was told my Smart Tank 7005 didn't have a duplex unit. I forwarded the page on the HP website showing it has one.

My Printer is giving me a B4 error when I try to duplex print. I've tried all the setup stuff on my PC even though I know its a hardware issue, I've also tried printing from my Android phone with the same issue.

The printer prints one side and then tries to pull the paper back to print the other side, but it only gets 1/3 of the way back in. It keeps trying 3 times before showing the B4 error. The duplex rollers are very clean (Never used). There are no visible obstructions. I've tried with 80mg and 100mg paper, getting the same results.

Can someone please help.

Thank you.

Hello @ricky682 ,

'E4' error (Paper Jam) Use these suggested solutions and watch the video.

If other errors occur, please refer to the following: Blinking lights and error codes

I recommend using tweezers and a torch. Some small pieces of paper cannot be detected without the appropriate tools.

You can also download the complete user manual: https://kaas.hpcloud.hp.com/pdf-public/pdf_4228390_en-US-1.pdf

I hope this helps. I would appreciate a reply.

Hi Andr-1611,

Thank you for listening to me and going straight to the problem I was actually having.

Removing the duplex tray helped me spot the problem.

There was a screw stopping the page from being drawn in, that I guess must have been dropped. It's exactly the same as all the other screws in the unit. After a quick look I can't see any missing, so I assume everythings OK.

Duplex is now working.

Thank you for your help.
