HP DEskjet 340
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an old, hardly used and very serviceable, DeskJet 340 printer - it's a mobile printer, not a multi-function one. I need a driver for it as the one loaded on my Windows 64 bit Dell machine does not seem to work. Can anyone tell me how to get the right driver? I see that a DeskJet 340 driver is avaiaible from teh HP website but that presents me with one labelled for a DeskJet300 multi-function printer. This is probably not the right driver - is it? Thanks

@DouglasMe, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

The drivers for this printer is not available in the HP Support site due to the age of this product. The only option to install the drivers is by using Windows built-in driver.

Refer to this document to know how.

Let me know how this goes.

sorry none of these worked. I could get the driver installed but on printing, the error message came up in the "see what's printing" screen.

I suggest you download the HP Smart App: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/hp-smart/9wzdncrfhwlh?activetab=pivot:overviewtab and try printing
