Have been getting error message that the print head is stuck.  When I investigated, two data cables appear to have become disconnected.  I have no idea how, have not pulled them out.  Not sure what pieces to remove to re-seat them.  Am reasonably technically minded and have Torx tools etc.

Is there  service manual that would help?

Thanks in advanceIMG20241117152006.jpgIMG20241117145650.jpgIMG20241117152053.jpgIMG20241117152346.jpg

Hi @BogginsDad,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to reconnect the data cables to the print head on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9012e All-in-One Printer is a task that can often be resolved with careful handling and the right guidance. Here are the steps and resources that should help:

Basic Steps to Re-seat Data Cables

If you're comfortable with minor disassembly:

Power Off and Unplug the Printer

  • Ensure the printer is fully powered down and unplugged to prevent electrical hazards.

Access the Print Head Assembly

  • Open the printer as if replacing ink cartridges.
  • Locate the screws or clips securing the print head compartment. Depending on the model, you may need to remove the plastic covers using your Torx tools to get a better view.

Inspect the Data Cables

  • Look for the two disconnected cables near the print head assembly.
  • Check the connectors for any visible damage or debris, and gently clean them if necessary.

Re-seat the Cables

  • Carefully align each cable with its connector.
  • Press them firmly into place until you hear or feel a secure connection.

Reassemble and Test

  • Replace any removed components and test the printer to see if the error clears.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
