I installed a new HP LaserJet 12A toner Cartridge. When printing a get an incomplete page. middle and side of page printing is missing. Darkness of print is also light. I shook the cartridge and twisted it back and forth but could not get a complete page to print. I have tried the HP site and cannot find any information to return the cartridge for replacement. Staples will not replace due to open box.

Hi @agrm4,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're facing some printing issues with your HP LaserJet 12A toner cartridge. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Inspect the Toner Cartridge:
- Check if there's any visible damage or obstruction in the toner cartridge.
- Ensure that the protective sealing tape has been completely removed from the cartridge.
Clean the Cartridge and Printer:
- Make sure there is no toner residue or debris on the cartridge contacts.
- Clean the printer's internal components, including the rollers, to ensure smooth paper feeding.
Print a Cleaning Page:
- Some printers have a cleaning page option. Check your printer manual on how to initiate a cleaning page.
Adjust Print Settings:
- Check the print settings on your computer and make sure they match the paper size and type you are using.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up-to-date. Visit the HP support website to download the latest drivers for your printer model.
Replace the Toner Cartridge:
- If the problem persists, try replacing the toner cartridge with a new one. If you have a spare cartridge, you can test with that.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
