HP DeskJet 1112 worked fine until yesterday. Now, power light is rapidly blinking and will not print. When I try to print, an immediate pop up comes up that the document cannot print. If I try again, I get a pop up that tells me the printer needs an intervention or that the printer is in an error state.
I have:
unplugged for 60+ seconds, replugged back in and held button for 15 seconds
restarted computer
tried the other lap top
taken cartridges out and reinstalled them
taken paper out and reloaded it
checked for jams
run windows printer diagnostics - found nothing
Nothing changed. Help! Thank you!

Here are the remaining steps.
6. Check Printer Drivers:
- Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer.
- Go to the HP Support website, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers.
- Install the updated drivers and restart your computer.
7. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from the HP website.
- This tool can diagnose and fix many common printing and scanning problems.
8. Print a Test Page:
- Try printing a test page directly from the printer.
- If the printer has a button combination for a test page, use it to see if the printer can print without involving the computer.
9. Clear Print Queue:
- Clear any stuck print jobs in the print queue.
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select See what's printing.
- Cancel all documents in the print queue.
10. Check USB Connection:
