My printer won't print anything. It started malfunctioning and missing lines of documents sporadically but now it won't print anything, leaving pages completely blank. This includes diagnostic and test pages.

@LightningPoult Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are unable to print.
Please perform the hard reset and check.
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed
Have you tried to replace the ink cartridegs and checked?
Please update the firmware and check.

Hi, I tried this and my document started to print but was very faded and only made it to around about 1/6th of the way down the page.
Also, I'm not quite sure if my printer has an "idle" mode as I even left it on overnight and nothing changed in the display to indicate it was idle or on standby.
The ink cartridges are relatively new and, by all indications, there is plenty of ink left in them. I have taken the cartridges out and put them back in again but to no avail.

I understand your concerns.
In that case, I would suggets you conatct our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.
Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.
1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.
Have a nice day!!
