I went to print an 8 page document today and after the 8 pages it paused and then tried to reprint them. I hit the X button to cancel and it paused and then again attempted to print, this happened 8 times in a tow where I hit cancel and it just continued to attempt to print the last page over and over. So now I'm being charged for extra pages because the printer was freaking out. I am afraid to print anything else in case this happens again. Even when I turned the printer off and restarted it, it tried to keep printing the same print job. My computer had nothing in the print queue so I am really confused as to why it just kept trying to reprint my pages. Had this happened to anyone else?

@dreamocracy, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
This is surprising. To assist you better, are you using a Win PC or a Mac?
How is the printer connected to the computer?
If you are using a Win PC, run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue
Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.
Reset the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.
Update the printer firmware
