Hi,
when attempting to print documents on my HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3785, certain lines get skipped across the whole page. Here is the details of my device:
HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3785
Service ID: 26360
Firmware Version: LAP1FN2125BR
Product Number: T8W46C
Having read about similar issues in this forum, I understand this is a driver issue. Copying works fine. I attempted to deinstall and reinstall the drivers through the HP Easy Start utility, but it did not help. Firmware is up to date. In the HP Utility, printing the test page which skips any drivers works fine (see screenshot), however printing any test page which goes through a driver the lines are skipped again (see screenshot).Test page skipping drivers
Test page using drivers
Please advise what other steps need to be taken to resolve this issue. Thank you!

@LennyK1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I understand the print quality is not satisfactory and lines are missing. I'm here to help. Let us try these steps:
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
Also, check for any software updates on Mac
Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.
Clean the ink cartridges as shown in this document - Fixing Poor Print Quality
This printer is AirPrint compatible. Install the printer using the AirPrint driver (recommended)
1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
4.) Click the plus sign click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
Note: Select "Bonjour multifunction" under kind while installing.
Try printing.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Kumar0307,
thanks a lot for your help. Here is the results of the actions as you suggested:
1. Updating the printer firmware: checked via HP Printer Update utility, no new updates were found as firmware is already up to date.
2. Updating MacOS: done, now at version 11.5.2
3. Cleaning ink cartridges: the alignment page is also missing some lines: the line of text describing columns is missing for line C and line I. I believe some alignment lines are missing as the resulting text page I tried printing at the end the alignment was not good.
4. Deinstall and re-install printer: done. I was not offered the option for "Bonjour multifunction", but "USB multifunction" was already set and could not be changed.
The final printed page of text is still missing lines. I have also attempted to print the same document from three different MacBook devices (different generations but all other than mine) and the result was always identical. With my Windows laptop this issue did not occur, unfortunately I do not have it at hand anymore.
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Leonard
