HP DeskJet Ink advantage 1115
macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hello everyone!

I cannot print with my DeskJet Ink Adantage 1115. I had maybe 6 months of not using my printer, while it started with problems printing in black and white, the prints came out greenish gray, so I assumed the black ink was out of use and did not use it more.

Today I decide to check again what happens and to my surprise the color test pages print them perfectly, without problems, but from then on nothing else prints and I constantly receive this error message: Stopped - 'Filter' failed, 1 page .

I checked all the treads on google on this topic but nothing they suggest helped me.

Anyone with a solution?

I read you!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update printer firmware

Update software on Mac

Remove and add the printer

Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.

Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.

Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign and then delete the printer.

Click the Plus sign and then click Add Printer or Scanner.

Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint

Click Add to add the printer to the list.

Try to print.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi! @Betty0610

I did all those steps prior to writing my post and they did not solve my problem. I already read that it is a problem between HP and Apple that apparently still cannot be solved for us MacOS Mojave users.

I am going to try to see if the problem can be solved from a PC and if so I will give the printer to someone else who can use it on a PC.

Thanks.
