I wondered if anyone had any tips.
My HP Inkjet 2700 decides when it wants to be able to feed my vinyl sticker paper in to be printed on or not.
It has printed on it, very well in fact!
It often says there's a paper jam or can't pull the paper in, but doesn't seem to be trying?
Then all of a sudden it will pull it in and print fine.
It's a real pain to deal with.
If it's a paper issue, which sticker paper would you recommend I use for this particular printer?

Hi @szecki,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with sticker paper feed issues on inkjet printers like your HP Deskjet 2700 can indeed be frustrating. Here are some tips and recommendations that might help.
Tips for Printing on Sticker Paper:
Paper Thickness and Type:
- Ensure that the sticker paper you are using is within the recommended specifications for your printer. Sticker paper comes in various thicknesses, and thicker papers can be more challenging for some printers to feed consistently.
Paper Condition:
- Sometimes, sticker paper can curl or have static, making it difficult for the printer to pick up. Before printing, ensure the paper is flat and not curled.
Paper Loading:
- Load only a few sheets of sticker paper at a time into the printer's paper tray. Overloading can cause feed issues.
Printer Settings:
- Adjust the printer settings to a higher quality or photo print mode, as these settings often adjust the printer's internal mechanisms for better paper handling.
Printer Maintenance:
- Clean the printer rollers regularly. Dust and debris can accumulate on the rollers, affecting paper feed. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to clean the rollers properly.
Check Printer Firmware:
- Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates can improve compatibility with different types of paper.
Recommended Sticker Paper:
Given the issues you're experiencing, it might be worth trying sticker paper that has been reported to work well with similar HP inkjet printers. Here are options you could consider.
- HP-branded Sticker Paper: Since your printer is an HP model, using sticker paper recommended by HP might improve compatibility. Look for HP's own sticker paper products, which are designed to work optimally with their printers.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
