Hi @Cranky50,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

1. Cancel Print Jobs

From the Printer display:

  • Press the cancel button (usually marked with an 'X').

From the Computer:

  • Go to Devices and Printers in your Control Panel.
  • Right-click your HP Deskjet 2700 Series printer and select See what's printing.
  • Right-click the print job and select Cancel.

2. Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the printer.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

3. Check Printer Connections

Network connections:

  • Ensure the printer is well connected to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Restart your router.

Ethernet connections:

  • If using an Ethernet cable, ensure it is securely connected.

4. Reset Printer Settings

Perform a factory reset to reconfigure the printer settings:

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Hold down the Wi-Fi button & Cancel button together while turning on the printer.
  3. Release the buttons after a few seconds. This should reset your printer settings.

5. Reinstall Printer Drivers

Remove existing printer drivers and reinstall the latest version from the HP Support website:

  1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP Deskjet 2700 Series and select Remove device.
  3. Download and install the latest drivers from the HP Support Website.

I hope this helps.
