Hi @simon-eden,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
I understand that you have a Deskjet 2700 Printer and i light on it is on and orange is the color. You cannot make the light go off.
To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Is the printer able to print and is working fine?
Meanwhile, I did some research and found that you're referring to the "i" light which is known as the information button on the printer. It prints out a printer information page. Press the button in combination with the Wireless button, the Wi-Fi Direct button, or the HP ePrint button to get more specific help pages tied to each of those buttons. The information light indicates that you can press the Information button to get help.
By design, this light is supposed to stay on.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
