Hi @Yourawasteoftim,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP DeskJet 2710 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Does the copy work fine?
  • Is the blue light solid on the printer?
  • What iOS version is running is your device?
  • What application are you trying to print from?

While you While you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the firmware

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product

  • Update software on iOS

You may also try printing using Apple Airprint :

Print with AirPrint

  1. Open the app that you want to print from.
  2. To find the print option, tap the app’s share icon reply icon or share icon or tap share icon
  3. Scroll down and tap pinter icon or Print. If you can’t find the print option, check the app’s User Guide or Help section. Not all apps support AirPrint.
  4. Tap Select Printer and choose an AirPrint-enabled printer
  5. Choose the number of copies or other options, like which pages you want to print.
  6. Tap Print in the upper-right corner.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
