Hi all, after hours of trying exaxtly what was discussed in Matt's case, cannot get my deskjet to work anymore, used to work perfectly and never any hassles. Since Jun/Jul it takes print order, but does not print or some lines at most, then freezes and cue gives error. Can there be anything else in this case? Tried all the advices in the forum (Sandy et al), restarts, HP Scan doctor etc. Do not see the need to buy other printer to resolve this, must be some solution to get it to work again?
Can a 'foreign' HP Printer that I see in our Wifi list be a rogue signal provider, despite recent wifi boosters we installed to our router, can the two additional wifi boosters we installed themselves be the problem, other than Win10 update???
I'm getting very frustrated and even more desparate. Hope someone can assist! Best, Thx, PeterPaul

Welcome to the HP support community.
Did you uninstall the printer driver from the root level before installing the new driver?
If not, follow the below steps:-
Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Download and install printer full feature driver
Click here to download the driver.
I hope that helps.
