Right now I cannot add this printer to my online profile.  When someone gave it to me as a gift, I only had Mac Monterey; but it shares on my wireless network with a Windows 10.  On the Windows 10, it would not print an MS Publisher document too neatly, a greeting card that I want to get out.  Lines in text boxes do not show entirely.  So, the Mac has the HP Smart Print app.  Through it I tried to do a Print Head Cleaning job.  It says that the print queue is busy, which is BS because I have no jobs going to it.  It did the Alignment but will not do the Cleaning.  Even after unplugging and shutting off for 30 seconds, I get the same busy message.  What do I do next?  Thank you in advance.  This post was last night.  Now that it is morning, I had difficulty finding this thread.  Under Advanced Settings in the app I found Clean Printhead and Clean Ink Smear.  Though the black cartridge has not run out of ink, that is where I isolated the problem.  The app shows a low level for that one.  On the Clean Ink Smear command the printer just ran through a blank page.  What does that mean?  In the app I cannot find the command Diagnose And Fix.  Having found my serial number, the site will not let me add it under my account to Add Another Device.

The Edit button at the top of the previous post does not work.  I do not know if it is due to the browser.  Yesterday and this morning I may have used Firefox.  This is Safari.  Now, this thread is even more difficult to find than it was this morning.  Probably I am not getting any notifications because I cannot add the printer to my account.  Anyway, I still am not satisfied that my printer is fully functioning.  However, the Publisher greeting card that I could not print earlier printed because I had to convert it to PDF and then print it.  Now, I had to start a thread on the Microsoft forum for Office.  Now a day later, I am on my Windows 10.  These pages are not friendly with different operating systems and browsers.  This addition is through Edge.  With this forum AWOL, I cannot tell for sure what is wrong.  Device Manager in Windows shows no problem.  Your Print And Scan Doctor suggests that the low black cartridge may be the problem although it is not ready for replacement.  Having just made a card from scratch and changed the font color to something other than black, I got a good print.  Whether this fixes the problem or not I don't know.

It is annoying to use this site.  I just tried to start a chat over my printer not adding to my devices under My Account.  The chat hung.  So, it never started.  Here it is a day later.  I just went to one of the links on the right which referenced the system requirements for my printer.  On Mac, my OS is not even listed.  Until now the printer caused no problem.  Neither this nor the post in front of this are responses.  They are just my additions.  I started this post on a Mac Monterey; and the Edit command did not work.  Identifying the presence of these posts does not help me.  When I got notification in my inbox, I thought somebody actually responded.  Unless HP uses AI to identify posts, somebody could have actually responded instead of merely detecting my own post.  Now, after waiting for responses on this deadbeat forum, I telephoned HP to complain.  They tried to use the circumstance to try to sell me a new printer.  I think less of the company now.
