My HP Deskjet 3632 won't print, not even the test page. the paper goes down halfway and then stops. I then receive error E4, which is for a paper jam. I have done the troubleshooting and found no paper stuck within the printer. The cartridges don't move when I open that part of the printer as well. I don't want to have to buy another printer. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this error?

Hi! @desseretta,
Have you tried checking on a different brand paper?
Try updating the printer firmware to the latest version and check if it helps.
Update the printer firmware using this link. Click Here
Also, Please try the steps recommended below.
Sometimes a paper jam error persists even though there is no jammed paper (false paper jam). Reset the printer, which might clear a false paper jam error, and then try to print again.
-
Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
-
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
-
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
-
Wait at least 60 seconds.
-
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
-
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
-
Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Try to print.
