I have the same problem with deskjet HP 3630 series (3634) Prints fine without a hitch from some computers but will not print at all from a couple of others, one that had the latest window insider update done succsessfully and other my main machine Acer Desktop where for the first time this update is failing miserably more than 20 times now, few times a day attempts and asking to retry and restart... When I ask to print anything from any app, browser, Picasa, documents, instead of printing from the printer dialogue it brings up the save window, saving to *.prn file and then the printer dialogue disapears... It is so annoying and time wasting, WILL NOT PRINT since about a few dats ago... I know the printer is fine as it still prints from other machines that have not been updated to the newest update.... HELP PLEASE!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:
Use this link for details on using the HP Print and Scan doctor: https://hp.care/2JyaC93
If the issue persists, let's do a root uninstall and reinstall of the software:
Unplug any USB cable, if any, before doing this.
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
15.) Restart the computer.
Once done, please download and install the software from here:

I am afraid to uninstall the printer because it prints ok from all other computers except for the 2 that I use the most, am afraid that if I uninstall it I will have problems with reinstalling it... I did uninstall once and it did not solve the problem, like I say it is some problem with settings on these 2 computers printer status is ready on both machines but the print dialogue sends everything to save as a file *.prn a printer file... Can't you help me with this one problem? It all started after installing the newest updates... They were failinng for 2 weeks finally it installed, was hoping it may correct the problem but it is the same still today... If I have to uninstall again if there is no other easier solution then I will follow your steps here...
Thanks and sorry for not getting to you sooner, was trying to deal with the failing windows insider updates, day and night...
