I just replaced the ink (genuine HP product ordered from Amazon) in my printer a couple weeks ago.  It printed fine but now is stuck on an error with the color cartridge. If I hold power+X wait 5 seconds, release X then release power, it prints a diagnostic page and the color section is fine.  It indicates the color cartridge is almost 90% full.  After the diagnostic page, it goes right back to flashing, and the web interface still says cartridge error.  Are there any other tools that can be run?  I doin't want to buy another ink as it's 90% full, plus I'm not concerned it's just the ink that's the issue.  I only have printed 75 total pages with this printer.

Please try these steps

- Turn on the printer.

- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

- Disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the printer. If your printer has a network or wireless connection, leave it connected.

- Remove the ink cartridges from the printer and clean the electrical contacts with lint free cloth

- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet or power strip.

- Wait at least 60 seconds.

- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to a wall outlet.

- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

- The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

- Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

- Reinsert the ink cartridges, and then close the ink cartridge access door.

- If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.

Also ensure the printer has the latest Firmware https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

That did not work. Firmware was updated a couple weeks ago when I first noticed the issue.

Had to replace the cartridge again for the second time in 3 months and I printed maybe 10 pages in that three months.

My DeskJet 3755 wont print in color. I ordered new cartridge from HP believing the problem was an empty cartridge.  The ink level on the printer and on the computer tells me that I have no ink.  This is the second cartridge I have installed all to no avail.  Is it time for another printer?
