When ever I go to print something it ALWAYS cuts off major portions of my page!! Its frustrating because I can't tell you how much ink & paper I've wasted trying to fix this error! I'm printing from Photoshop, but it does it no matter what I print from!

@MikaFay, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
That sounds super frustrating—especially with how much ink and paper gets wasted when a printer doesn’t behave. Let’s work through this step by step to get your HP DeskJet 4152e printing full pages properly again.
Ensure Correct Printer Driver Is Installed
Sometimes Windows installs a basic driver that lacks full features like borderless printing.
- Go to: 123.hp.com
- Type HP DeskJet 4152e, then download and install the HP Smart App (it installs the full-feature driver).
- Restart your PC after installation.
Enable Borderless Printing (if supported)
Unfortunately, the DeskJet 4152e doesn’t officially support borderless printing. That means it always leaves a small white border and can’t print full edge-to-edge.But, you can maximize printable area by doing the following:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer > Printing Preferences.
- Select the correct paper size (e.g., Letter 8.5x11").
- Under the Layout or Paper/Quality tab, look for:
- "Scale to Fit" or similar option — set to Fit to Page.
- Disable "Minimize margins" if it’s pushing content off the page.
Photoshop Specific Fix:
- In Photoshop, go to File > Print.
- Select your printer.
- Make sure to:
- Set Scaled Print Size to "Scale to Fit Media".
- Set Paper Size to match actual paper (e.g., 8.5x11").
- Click Print Settings → choose the same paper size.
- Try manually adjusting margins in Photoshop to keep content within the printable area.
Try a Test Print from Word or PDF
Open a simple Word doc or PDF:
- Print using Fit to Page.
- See if it still cuts off.
- If it prints fine, the issue may be specific to how Photoshop or a specific app sends data.
Advanced: Create a Custom Paper Size with Smaller Margins
- Go to Devices and Printers > Printer Properties.
- Click on Preferences > Advanced > Paper/Output > Paper Size.
- Create a custom paper size (e.g., 8.5x11 with 0.1" margins on all sides).
- Save and use this when printing — it gives Photoshop more printable space to work with.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
