I have uninstall the driver, downloaded the latest SW (mine is HP Deskjet 4675 and there is only drive 4670) and it does not print color.

This is very disapointing, In the past it has printed color and just stopped one day.

The printer is only 2 months old an I would not expect it to stop working that soon after all it is HP.

Please help how to resolve it.

Thanks

Hi @shaia70,

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues with help from the community! I came across your post and wanted to assist you. I understand you are having issues printing in color on your HP DeskJet printer. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you resolve this issue.

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Have you recently made any changes on the printer before the issue started?

Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges or refilled cartridges?

Have you tried to clean the ink cartridge contacts?

Have you tried to print the test page from the printer?

Are you able to make a copy from the printer?

In the meantime, let's try these steps here:

Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.

Let’s first try and make a “photocopy” to determine whether the issue is with the printer or not. Place a document on the scanner glass and choose “Copy” option. If the printer is making a good copy, then the printer hardware is fine.

For more assistance, please follow all the steps suggested in the support document for - HP Printers - Fixing Print Quality Problems

If the copy comes out fine, I would suggest the next step would be to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers:

Please respond to this post with the details of the Operating system and with the results of the troubleshooting for further assistance.

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

  1. Go to control panel – Devices and printers – Give a right click on Officejet 4675, and select printing preferences.
  2. In the pop-up window, click on “Advanced” button - check for printing in grayscale option. Make sure it is turned off.
  3. Also once you try to print a document please go to printer properties to make sure it is not set in “print in greyscale” option.

Hi

I have a simmilar problem.

I have confirmed the "Copy" works fine and color is fine.

Printing via the USB cable is also good, color is fine.

Only when I print via the wireless network does all the pages only print in Black, no color.

From the details given it sounds like my hardward is fine.

When I installed the printer initially, I had lots of problems to get the wireless working.  All the diagnostic pages indicated OK, but could not do much.  Then after a few days, I could print fine wirelessly, but it would not SCAN wirelessly.  After another few days the scanning started to work.  Was very frustrating.  Now the color issue.

I have uninstalled and re-installed the printer drivers numerous of times, with no result.

The printer is only 2-months old.
