The printer flashes the power, feed, and low ink lights in a counter-clockwise manner. It will abruptly stop printing in the middle of a page and do this, and then randomly turn back on a few minutes later.

 

I've noticed that these lights will flash in a clockwise pattern when the printer is turning on (with the ink levels staying on), but it will keep flashing in a counter-clockwise pattern with the ink levels off when it's not working. The HP Solution Center says the printer is offline while it's doing this, although it's connected by USB.

 

I checked the manual and I didn't see anything about this light error code.

Let's try a power reset on the printer

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Hi, thanks for reading. I'm sorry to say that the power reset doesn't help. I've tried leaving it unplugged overnight and I've moved it to several different outlets but the behavior is the same.

This looks like a hardware issue.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
