Deskjet F2210
macOS 10.15 Catalina

To Whom It May Concern,

My friend gave me her HP Deskjet F2210 that has full ink cartridges. I was able to connect the printer to my MacBook Air which has the Catalina 10.15.7 OS. When I connected the USB cord to "add" the printer, it downloaded the software automatically. I then tried to test print some pages, but the printer will only print blank pages. I know the ink cartridges are full, and I'm concerned that my OS will not work with this printer. I looked up on HP to see if they have a driver for this and I could not find one. Is the software/driver the issues? Can I not use this printer?

Thanks!

Hi @sarahep737,

 I'd like to help!

I understand you are facing print quality issues

To assist  better-What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or devices?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -

  1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.

  2. Press and hold the Cancel button (), and then press the Start Copy Color button ().

  3. Release both buttons. The self-test report prints.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
