Dirty ink marks are left randomly near edges of some printed documents. I have cleaned the printhead. My wireless connection appears to be working satisfactorily. I have used HP Print and Scan Doctor regularly - and today the updates are correct, and an adjustment was made to the Print Queue.
Is there a recommended way of cleaning out any ink that might have accumulated in the works and be causing this, please?

Hello, @Reinrag – Hope you are well 🙂
Thanks for your continued participation on the HP Forums! I’d like to be of your assistance!
I understand that you are getting ink marks on your printed pages. Are you getting this issue while making a copy?
Place a document face down on the scanner glass and press the copy option on the printer control panel. Let me know if it makes a good copy or not.
If the copy also comes with ink streaks, then try the steps listed here: http://hp.care/2pyys5K
Also, remove the cartridges and clean the paper path inside the printer using a lint-free cloth.
Let me know if that helps!
Cheers 🙂

Hello Dvortex,
Many thanks for your comprehensive recommendations. I have worked through them all, and the process has proved to me that the problem is entirely mechanical, and that I need to replace the printer.
The overall situation is that irregular clicking noises occur from the right hand side of the printer mechanism when printing some, but by no means all, documents. Also, the printer will regularly have difficulties like paper jams again if more than one sheet of paper is inserted at a time. Therefore, I suspected a mechanical problem that meant replacement.
However, before going further with replacement, I was seeking advice on whether there might be more advice on the best way of cleaning off any the ink deposits for a temporary improvement, other than what I have already done in following earlier recommendations for this and clearing paper jams.
I am very grateful for your trouble in helping me see the problem more clearly!
