Brand new printer.  Came with two setup cartridges       inserted them and it says "do not use setup cartridges"

Also will not connect to internet

   Have tried pulling the power cord and all that is visible to do here on the forums    including pulling the cartridges and re-inserting  

Nothing works

@JMH7, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

The ink cartridges that go with the printers are setup ink cartridges designed to initialize the printer. If you are setting up the printer for the first time, you will have to use the setup ink cartridges.

If this is not the initial setup or if the printer is already used to print before, you will have to use regular HP ink cartridges.

 

Let us try to perform an OOB reset that may help to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
