Hi.
I am trying to find out whether the keypad on a HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5525 can rotate up.
I see it has swivels at the top and edges appear to have a slight gap.
Does it have hidden housing-cover screws below it?
I bought it second hand, had red nail varnish spilled on left over Flatbed cover andkeypad.
'Clever' me tried to clean it with acetone.!!
Acetone ran down, sticking power button on keypad, and possibly keypad.
I do electronics, so if I know where screws are, I can strip and repair stuck parts.
Got as far as 4 hex screws on frame, and one screw under label sticker.
Before acetone spill and stuck power button, all worked perfectly.
Helpful advice appreciated.
Thank you.
Clive.

Hello, @CV5525 – Greetings 🙂
Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a fantastic location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others!
I am afraid that the HP Deskjet 5525 display/keypad cannot be rotated upwards. It is fixed to the panel and is not movable 😞
That said, try to use a hair dryer to try and blow hot air inside the panel to try and fix the issue. Worked once when I dropped my cell phone in water 😉
If the issue is not resolved, contact the HP phone support to get the printer service options.
HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.
(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.
(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.
(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
Let me know if that helps!
Good luck 🙂

I found out how to remove the (stuck) keypad.
It clicks into postion via plastic hooks.
Simply pulled it straight out from top (not upwards) and found 2 screws beneath.
Button-cover was removed from keypad and cleaned.
Re-assembled all.
Problem solved.
Thank you.
