I get "double vision" printing on the first page when the printer has been idle for at least 24 hours.  I have updated all the drivers on my Mac.  I have tried printing a test page.  I am using MS Word or Safari or other applications.

@markles, Welcome to HP Support Community!

What happens when you make a photocopy when the printer is in an idle state for 24 hours?

Is it just the first copy that has double-vision printing or all copies?

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.

For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

So far, I haven’t noticed any problem with photocopying regardless of how long it’s been idle. So far. The problem appears somewhat randomly.

But yes, it’s only the first print that’s double-blurred.

My software has had been reinstalled.

By the way, I’m not the only person posting this problem. I think it’s not on my end.

Didn't I do that to get here in the first place?  Aren't you "in my community"?

The instructions to contact HP will not work if your printer is Out of Warranty.

If that is the case, give me some time, I will research on the same and get back to you.

Thank you!

Thank you. Yes, it’s just out of warranty.  I appreciate your research.  As I’ve stated, some other users have posted having similar problems, so it’s not just me.
