Hello
I've been trying to dubble sidded printing with the "HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 " but the back side of the image dose not align up when printing no matter what side of binding I use (long or short) is there anyway to better print two sided to allow each page to align up?
Thank you for your time and I hope you have a great day.

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with printing double-sided.I will be delighted to assist you here.
Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:
For now please try these steps:
- Did you check the printer settings?
- Did you remove and add the printer again?
- Did you try to uninstall the printer and reinstall it using mac software update?
- Did you check by printing from multiple apps like MS Word and Adobe Reader if duplex printing works?
For now, try these steps:
- Make sure that the paper being used is supported and compatible with the printer for two-sided printing.
- Also, make sure that the Mac OS is completely up to date.
From this link: http://hp.care/2HCi2CD (HP Printers - Printer is Offline (Mac) perform this steps:
- Step 2: Reset the printer
- Step 3: Remove multiple printers from the printer list
- Step 4: Delete the existing print queue and add the printer
Now check if the issue gets fixed. If it still continues, then perform these steps as a last resort to reset the Mac printing system:
Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
• Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
• Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.
• Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
• Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
• Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
• Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.
• Click the “Add button” (+).
• Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer. Do not select an HP Fax driver.
• Click “Print Using...” or “Use”, and then select Secure AirPrint or AirPrint.

To print on both sides with your Mac computer please check this: http://hp.care/2HCi3qb (HP Printers - How to Print on Both Sides of the Paper (Mac) (Duplexing)
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat.

I have tried most of those steps but not all yet. Tho the issue happens on more then one computer and mulitple printers.
Lets say if i was printign out some text this would work dubble sidded no issue. I think its more to do with this is a more complex item to print that requires it to be lined up "well"
For example:
This is how the printing comes out if the design is set out this way.
In a normal sesne of printng text this layout would work fine. But not with somthing like packaging I was just wondering if somehow you could print it correctly this way saving some time.
Tho if you use this layout.
The print will come out fine with little to no alignment issues.
I dont think there is a option to allow the first option to print correctly and was just wondering if maybe there was a way.
Thank you for your time and I hope you have a great day.
