HP LaserJet Pro M404dw

Hi there, I have a printer HP LaserJet Pro M404dw which has firmware updated to MOGAMIXXXN002.2339A.00. With this latest firmware update, it has problem with new toner when do the replacement.

I need to downgrade the firmware back to MOGAMIXXXN002.2247A.00.

Does anyone know how to find and download the old firmware as mentioned?

Hi @Rathana,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Finding and downloading specific firmware versions for your printer can be a bit tricky, as HP often do not provide older firmware versions on their official websites. However, you may try the following steps.

  • HP Support Website: Start by visiting the official HP support website: https://support.hp.com/
  • Search for Firmware: Use the search function on the HP support website to find the firmware for your HP LaserJet Pro M404dw. Enter your printer model and navigate to the firmware section.
  • Check Version History: If available, check if there's a version history or release notes section. Sometimes, HP provide information about previous firmware versions and may offer download links.

Always exercise caution when downgrading firmware, as it may void warranties or cause other issues.

Remember to carefully follow any provided instructions and ensure that the firmware downgrade is compatible with your printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
