I am currently tearing my hair out after spending all evening and then all day trying to reinstall my printer on my home PC and laptop after both needed rebooting. I have a wireless DJ3630 and my computers are running on Windows 10 64 bit.
I have tried repeatedly to install the drivers, but have received an error message saying "version of windows has blocked necessary driver to install". Does anybody know how to get around this problem please?

Hi @Michelle1107,
I reviewed the super quick response comprehensively. Thanks for the quick reply. You've done amazingly well by displaying profound technical competence, immense patience and terrific attitude to try and resolve the issue. Kudos to you for a job well done. 🙂 Based on your previous post the solutions were provided and even if the Windows built-in drivers for this printer do not work, then the issue is not with the printer but the computer.
Please try the following steps:
- Please try the printer on a different computer running Windows. If it works then please try these steps:
- Please backup your files. Then perform a Microsoft push button reset from this link: http://hp.care/2iyTJ0Y which resets the computer without causing data loss.
- Otherwise, please backup your files and reinstall windows. Then reinstall the printer drivers.
- Then reinstall the Deskjet printer drivers from the HP support site.
- if that does not work, try by installing the built-in drivers by following the instructions from the links provided in my previous post. This will do the trick for you.
It has been an absolute privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂 Trust me, I've done all I can to assist you, by keeping your best interest in mind. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the printer works great and stays healthy for a long time.
