Hello:

Please help. This is a brand new printer barely used at all. Cartridge connections are very clean, and reseating them doesn't fix the problem. Nor does updating firmware or restarting printer. Also no interior lights blinking for cartridges although E-O keeps blinking. Also, printer doesn't connect to wifi although correct password is used multiple times. This printer is faulty. Anyone owning one with problems deserves an automatic replacement with a newer version. Many complaints online and too much forced reliance on Wifi connection. I purposely bought an HP printer having faith in HP, but now I will never buy HP again unless this problem is fixed "very" soon!

Hi @James_198 ,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand The HP ENVY 6055e printer might display an error code E0 if it's having trouble recognizing the ink cartridges or if there's an issue with the printer's firmware. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  • Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the toner cartridges are properly installed. Open the printer cover and double-check that each cartridge is securely seated in its slot.
  • Clean Cartridge Contacts: Sometimes, the contacts on the cartridges or inside the printer may get dirty or covered in ink residue, preventing proper communication. Carefully clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab dampened with distilled water. Make sure the cartridges are dry before reinstalling them.
  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes, a simple restart can clear temporary errors.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. You can usually do this through the printer's control panel or by visiting the HP support website and searching for your printer model. Updating the firmware can often resolve various issues.
  • Remove Instant Ink Dependency: If the printer's error is indeed related to the Instant Ink program, you might need to remove any dependency on Instant Ink. visit the HP Instant Ink website to manage your account settings and remove your daughter's printer from the Instant Ink program if she's no longer enrolled.
