Hi @Nasusnevrom,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The E0 error on your HP DeskJet 4222e typically indicates an issue with the printhead or the ink cartridges. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this error.
Check Ink Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure that the new ink cartridges are installed correctly. Remove them and reinsert them, making sure they click into place securely.
Inspect Cartridges:
- Make sure that the cartridges are compatible with your printer model.
- Check for any protective tape or plastic that might not have been removed from the cartridges.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the ink cartridges and gently clean the metal contacts on both the cartridges and the printhead with a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab lightly moistened with water. Allow them to dry completely before reinstalling.
Reset the Printer:
- Unplug the printer from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn the printer on.
Perform a Printer Self-Test:
- Check if you can print a self-test page. This can help determine if the issue is with the cartridges or the printer itself.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check the HP website for any available updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
