The error code, E6, continues to light up even after unplugging my Envy 6032e printer and plugging it back in again after a minute.

Hi @1972alex,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the error code E6 on your HP Envy 6032e All-in-One Printer indicates a hardware issue related to the print mechanism. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Open the printer’s input tray and check if there are any paper jams or obstructions.
  • Carefully remove any jammed paper if found.

Inspect the Print Cartridges:

  • Open the printer cover and check the print cartridges.
  • Ensure they are properly installed and seated correctly.
  • If needed, remove and reinsert the cartridges to ensure they are properly placed.

Reset the Printer:

  • Sometimes resetting the printer can clear certain errors.
  • To reset, turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait for about 1 minute.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve hardware-related issues.
  • Check the HP support website for your printer model and follow the instructions to update the firmware.
