Hi @VicJo1,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the E6 error code on your HP ENVY 6022e All-In-One Printer typically indicates a hardware issue related to the carriage jam or obstruction.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve this:
- Check for Jammed Paper: Open the printer cover and check for any jammed paper or foreign objects that may be obstructing the carriage's movement. Gently remove any paper or debris you find.
- Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 1-2 minutes. Plug the printer back in and turn it on again to see if the error clears.
- Inspect Carriage Path: Manually move the carriage to both sides of the printer to ensure it moves freely without obstruction. If it's stuck or does not move freely, there may be a mechanical issue that needs professional servicing.
- Clean the Carriage Rod: If the carriage moves but is making unusual noises or seems to stick, clean the carriage rod with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with water. Avoid using alcohol or other solvents.
- Update Firmware: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve known issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
