- Exact model number/product number(SKU number) of your HP Product (Click here for information on how to find the model number/product number).

- Error messages (if any) on the unit.

- When was the last time it was working fine?

- Were there any changes made to your PC recently?

This is odd as the error you quote is a flatbed glass error on a multifunction device but you state your model number as a single function device? Either a mis-key or possible corrupted firmware. I suggest that if the model number is correct, please update the firmware to FS 5.8
