I solved the problem, I followed all the suggestions to the letter and then I discovered that the brand new cartridge was actually faulty. I opened another brand new cartridge HP300 and it worked, so the previous one that I used was faulty. It had an expiry date of July 2018. Customer services is replacing this cartridge. Thank you for your guidance and concerns.

@princepolo
Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP ENVY 110 e-All-in-One Printer and you have installed new ink cartridge and it does not print anything. I read that the pages come out blank.
I would like to know the following information to assist you better:
- Are you using original HP ink cartridges or refilled ink?
- Did the printer go through the alignment process after the new cartridges were installed?
- Is the printer able to make a copy? If yes then it indicates that the printer's hardware is fine.
Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Disconnect the power cable from the printer while the printer is still ON.
- Disconnect any other cables if connected the printer.
- Press and hold the printer’s power button for 15 seconds.
- The printer should be directly connected to the wall outlet and not to a surge protector.
- Reconnect the power cable to print and the printer should power ON by itself. If the printer doesn’t power ON then please manually power it ON.
Now, please manually align the printer by following the below steps:
If the issue persists then perform the steps listed under "Step six: Clean the area around the ink nozzles" from this HP document.
I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Keep me posted. Cheers!
