ENVY 4520 will not print color

Will not print color.

HP Support Assistant cannot find any issues with the printer.  Drivers are up to date.

I see that you are facing an issue with printing in colour on your Printer.

Are you able to make a colour copy on the printer standalone? (Placed a colour document on the scanner glass and make a colour copy to confirm). 

If that works, the hardware is working fine.

Request you to follow the below steps to fix the issue.

Uninstall the printer software by following the steps from this link and restart the device on which you do not get the colour settings.

Install the printer software by clicking on the link again.

Or

Install the printer with Windows built-in driver.

This did not work.  SO then I repeated uninstall and completely scrubbed envy 4520 from the registry.    Then lets window install.  Still does not solve.    From printer screen the print quality test prints color.  one other test doc from the printer menu prints color.   Everything else prints colors as grayscale.

And print preferences does not contain a B&W or grayscale selection options.  checked all tabs plus advanced settings.
