Hi @JAN15074, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The OXB86E9646 error code on your HP OfficeJet 5258 All-in-One Printer typically indicates a firmware or hardware issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve it:

1. Perform a Power Reset

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait 2-3 minutes.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet first, then into the printer.
  5. Turn on the printer and check if the error is gone.

2. Check for Paper Jams and Hardware Issues

  1. Open the printer's access doors and check for any stuck paper inside.
  2. Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges.
  3. Close everything properly and restart the printer.

3. Update Printer Firmware

Since you're using Windows 11, ensure the printer has the latest firmware:

  1. Go to HP Support: HP Software and Drivers.
  2. Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet 5258).
  3. Download and install the latest firmware update.

4. Perform a Semi-Full Reset

If the issue persists, a semi-full reset can help (this will restore factory settings):

  1. On the printer control panel, press the Back button four times quickly to open the Support Menu.
  2. Select Reset Menu > Semi-Full Reset.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and let the printer restart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
