Hi @JAN15074, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The OXB86E9646 error code on your HP OfficeJet 5258 All-in-One Printer typically indicates a firmware or hardware issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve it:
1. Perform a Power Reset
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait 2-3 minutes.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet first, then into the printer.
- Turn on the printer and check if the error is gone.
2. Check for Paper Jams and Hardware Issues
- Open the printer's access doors and check for any stuck paper inside.
- Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges.
- Close everything properly and restart the printer.
3. Update Printer Firmware
Since you're using Windows 11, ensure the printer has the latest firmware:
- Go to HP Support: HP Software and Drivers.
- Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet 5258).
- Download and install the latest firmware update.
4. Perform a Semi-Full Reset
If the issue persists, a semi-full reset can help (this will restore factory settings):
- On the printer control panel, press the Back button four times quickly to open the Support Menu.
- Select Reset Menu > Semi-Full Reset.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and let the printer restart.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
