HP4155e printer... as the title states, the printer will not stop producing an alignment page every time it is powered on and a job is sent.  Yes, I've placed prior alignment pages and followed steps to scan the alignment page.  Please post steps to completely disable alignment page process.  I've tried all the other troubleshooting steps in other users' posts. This printer is aligned, need this alignment process bug disabled.

Hi @bartjoebob

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To stop your HP DeskJet 4155e printer from printing an alignment page every time you power it on or send a print job, you can try the following troubleshooting steps. While there isn’t a direct "disable" setting for the alignment process in the printer settings, there are some steps you can take to resolve this issue.

Steps to Disable the Alignment Page Printing:

Ensure the Printer is Properly Aligned:

  • Since the printer keeps printing the alignment page, it may not have completed the alignment process successfully.
  • Reattempt the Alignment: If the printer hasn't finished aligning or scanning the alignment page correctly, the printer may continue to request this alignment.
    • Place a new alignment page (the one that comes with the new ink cartridge) on the scanner bed.
    • Press the "Start Copy" button (or the appropriate button on your printer) to scan the alignment page.
  • If the alignment scan is successful: The alignment process should complete, and the printer should stop printing alignment pages automatically.

Check Cartridge and Printhead Status:

  • Sometimes, alignment issues can arise if the ink cartridges or printhead are misaligned or not installed correctly. Double-check that the ink cartridges are properly installed and that there is no obstruction in the printhead area.
  • Remove and Reinstall Cartridges: Try removing the ink cartridges and reinserting them properly to ensure the printer is detecting them correctly.

Reset the Printer:

  • A simple factory reset of the printer can help resolve issues like this, especially if it’s caused by a software glitch.
    • Turn off the printer.
    • Unplug the printer from the power outlet and wait for 60 seconds.
    • Plug the printer back in, turn it on, and see if the problem persists.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can fix bugs like persistent alignment requests.
    • Go to HP Support: HP DeskJet 4155e Support Page
    • Check for any available firmware updates and install them.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
