I printed fine until last night. HP MFP M476dw about 10 years old (and showing its age). My printer is not on a network (router not compatible) - just home use and I switch the wireless point on the computer to directly talk to printer. I tried today to print off a new Mac (about two months old) with OS 14.2.1. The doc never printed and I notice under Print Center that it kept putting it in Pause. Did all the common things: restarted the computer, restarted the printer, both together, deleted the printer and re-added it, etc. Also tried two different software programs (MS Word and Apple Pages). So I went to an old Mac which I still use (and it printed a week or two ago and for years before that) with OS 10.15.7. Same symptoms but this time Print Center gave me the Encryption Credentials expired message. The HP support page (mixed comments in other discussions as to if it works) tells me to get on a Window machine to make a new self-signed certificate. Well, I don't have access to a Windows machine and my printer isn't networked anyway. So what do I do besides giving up not only on this printer but HP as well?
