HP Envy 4520

I just purchased an HP 4520 printer and set it up. USB printing seems to work fine (once I installed new ink cartridges), but the printer absolutely will not connect to wifi. In fact, the act of even attempting to connect it to wifi causes it to freeze and display "ERROR CODE 0XB90BFF0E". At that point I have to power cycle the printer, and furthermore, if I do not disable wireless connections in the menu, the error will reoccur on its own later. I would like to use this printer on my network and with the HP Ink program, but it doesn't appear like that will be possible until I fix this issue.

Hi @Casey0110

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

I understand you are not able to connect the printer to the network, let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

On the printer, go to Setup > Network > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Advanced > Disable IPv6

Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard > Select your network and enter the password.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
