I've been printing on the same 300gsm cardstock for months and it's all of a sudden getting jammed. Prints fine with normal paper. Any tips would be appreciated!

Thank you for posting on HP Forums, MKazi is at your service.

I understand that you have an HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer. I read that the printer jams the paper while printing on the same cardstock paper it printed on before.I read that the printing on the normal paper is fine. Not to worry, I'll do my best to assist you with this case.

You may refer to the Paper-handling specifications >> Supported cards from the printer specifications just to be double sure that it is the supported card paper.

Does the paper jam even if you place a few (3-4) cards in the paper tray?

As per the input paper tray specifications, the input tray can handle up to 200 g/m2 (110 lb index) and up to 20 cards (17 mm [0.67 inch] stacked).

Also, please perform the steps to fix paper jam issues with your HP printer. It is noted that normal paper does not jam. However, these steps will help to fix paper jam for card stock too: HP ENVY 4500 Printers - Paper Jam Error

Also, you may download and install the firmware update for your HP printer via this link. The printer needs to be restarted after the firmware is successfully installed.

I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Let me know the results. Good luck! 🙂
