I am having the same problem with my M201DX and outlook. It is a recent problem. I am able to print out any other jobs in Office suite with this printer. It is just the Outlook Emails, etc. I did the recommended steps and it is still not working.

I can print out the emails with my HP 6960 office pro injet and can print out using a PDF printer.

I have Outlook 365 with Windows 10.  The printer is connected to the computer using a USB Cable through a USB Hub. The HP 6960 is through a local network set up. But that has been going smoothly fpr pver a year. I know I had an upgrade in software before this happened for both Windows 10 and for Office 365. It is strange only effecting outlook printing jobs and not any other Office print jobs or any other program that I use. Help would be appreciated.

@BrianEI,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Please press Win + R on your keyboard to get the Run Dialog box.

Type spool and press enter or click on the OK button.

This will bring up the spool folder. Right on the 'PRINTERS' folder and select properties.

On the printer properties popup, click on the Security tab.

Provide Full Control to all the users listed there. Apply the changes.

Now open devices and printers from the control panel.

Right-click on your printer and select printer properties.

On the printer properties popup, select the Security tab and provide full control/access.

Apply the changes and restart the computer and try to print.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thanks for getting back to me. Did try that and it did not work. Also tried the suggestion to clear the printer spooler, etc. While I was waiting for a response, what I did was a complete new install of the printer drivers, etc. This seems to be working fine now. I still have a few of the programs to check to make sure they are still printing.

Thank you for your suggestion. It is nice to know there is place to go to at least get some suggestions for problems like this.
