HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Envy 4520 won't shut off, touch screen blank and is off line.

Product: Envy 4520
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-Bit)

A few days ago the printer started turning on by itself in the middle of the night and printing out HP network configuration page.  I pushed the power button until it shut down.  Woke up in the morning and noticed that the printer was back on but with a blank touch screen.  The only way to turn it off is to disconnect it from power,  I have done all the cycle through suggestions and nothing fixes.  When running trouble shooting on Windows 10, it tells me printer is working fine.  Also tells me printer is off line.  When I came here to try and find the problem fix  HP tells me my serial number is an Desk Jet Ink Advantage 4535 and it is not.  I am totally confused and  would like to know if this printer is worth messing with or should I just purchase another one/  Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Also, try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Let me know if this helps.
