Envy 4525
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, the Envy 4525 is wirelessly connected to my PC. The connection itself seems not to be the problem, the HP software and the Win10 system settings panel list the printer correctly. The printer receives the print orders, makes printing noise, but the paper comes out empty. Both ink cartridges are still sufficiently filled. I have tried any option the HP "Print and Scan Doctor" offers, but without the slightest success. I have also tried the one-cartidge-mode. Doesn't help. What else is there left to try?

Thanks.

@Stefan1971HH, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand the printer is printing blank pages. Try making a standalone copy in color and black to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues

Clean the ink cartridges up to 2 times and print a quality report to check the result.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello @Kumar0307, thanks for you reply. I did as you suggested, but without success.

What did help now was replacing the cartridges.

Still, I would like to find out what had been the problem with the old ones. These were original HP cartridges,

too, and according to the display of the HP software they still contained enough ink for printing.

Glad to know that the issue is resolved after replacing the ink cartridges. If the printer was not used for a couple of weeks, the ink could have dried up, and hence it was printing blank pages.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

@Kumar0307 is there a way to prevent this from happening again in the future? Most likely, there will be sometimes a longer interval between usages. Also, can I somehow use the remaining ink in the old cartridges?

No, you cannot use the ink from the old ink cartridges. To prevent the ink from drying up, you will have to print atleast once a week, if not, remove the ink cartridges and place them in an air-tight container.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
