Can anyone help.

Ive had the Envy 5030 for over a year. It's not printing correctly. A page of text, for example, will print some lines perfectly and others will have white lines , i.e. the toner is missing so it makes it look like there are white lines through the text.

I've turned it off and on again. Taken the toner cartridges out and back again. I've printed an alignment page but even that didn't print properly.

I checked on the  printer and it tells me the colour toner is 3/4 full and the black is full.

Anyone got any ideas as my son can't print his homework.

Thanks.

Hi @FairyUnicorn

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I understand you are having print quality issues. I'd be happy to assist you. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Clean the ink cartridges

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup .

  2. Touch Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges.

    • If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Yes when prompted to perform the next level of cleaning.

note: If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform both levels of cleaning again.

Perform step 13 from this document.

Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe left on the display, and then touch Setup .

  2. Touch Tools.

  3. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Print Quality Report. Examine the color blocks for defects.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
